Kuduro, an originally Angolan music style, from the 1980's got a new life in the mid 2000's  when Angolan diaspora in Lisbon, Portugal started to mix kuduro with mobile phone and computer samples. British artist M.I.A. gave the style with a fast pumping beat and rapid vocals international recognition with the Portuguese Buraka Sound Sistema in 2007 and now Yury Fontes da Cruz (23) a.k.a. Puto Cossa is one of the rising stars in the kuduro scene in Lisbon.

Fontes da Cruz moved from Luanda, Angola  to Portugal in 2003, and started his musical career in 2005. He is most known for is track Luanda Ta Dimas (Luanda is too much), where he demonstrates his talents as an mc.

His new album This Is Kuduro came out in February 2011, and the newest track is Dança Do Pica Pau (the woodpecker's dance). Fontes da Cruz also hosts his own show on the website http://www.afro-music.com
