Wonda Wendy was born in France, but her parents are from Gabon. Growing up she was surrounded with Gabonese music as her father is also a musician. Now, she combines the best of two worlds in her own tracks.

Wendy first hit the music scene in the mid-1990's as part of the all-female Hip Hop trio S'kira. After ten years spent in the Parisian underground hip hop scene, went to Gabon, where she made the album C'est qui cette go? Wendy has worked with many respected artists like Saian Supa Crew, Tairo and Admiral T. Last year she accompanied Ivorian reggae singer Tiken Jah Fakoly on his international tour. For Surprising Europe, she composed the track 'Best of both sides'.
