The idea of coming to the west and the reality of the struggle that encompass it, is a painful truth that many Africans face. Luckily there are others that do succeed in realizing their dreams to build up a strong foundation for themselves and their relatives. In both situations we raise the questions: what are the struggles that most Africans deal with? What are the achievements? Is it finding a place to live? Is it finding a job? Is it to get a good education? Or above all, is it getting the right papers to grasp the opportunities that come across?
This workshop is an open and informative one where people have the opportunity to come and share their experiences with one another. Through video-fragments of the television series' Surprising Europe' we will underpin the subjects. Join us and share your view!
